Competitor Tracking

See the content around you. Choose your own direction.

Explore competitors’ available public posts, publishing frequency and follower information. Notice recurring topics and publishing habits, then bring new questions into your own content plan.

What are similar brands sharing this month?

While preparing next month’s plan, you are looking at the topics similar brands cover. Seeing posts alongside publishing frequency provides a broader picture than one popular post. You decide which topics matter to your own audience.

Available posts, public follower information and collection date for three accounts on the same platform and period. Sample data.

Give occasional profile checks a more organized view

Explore available public profile and post data for accounts you add to your tracking list. This provides a starting point for considering recurring topics and the brands’ publishing habits.

Coverage is limited to the information available when collected. The module does not provide competitors’ private account data, sales figures or advertising spend.

Put comparisons in context

Follower counts, publishing frequency and available engagement measures answer different questions. Looking at the same channel and period makes comparisons easier to understand, though coverage and metric definitions can still differ.

Your own connected accounts may provide more detail than competitors’ public data. Allow for that difference when reading the results, and look at the content itself alongside the numbers.

Develop an observation into an idea for your brand

AI competitor analysis summarizes available content and engagement trends. Use those observations to consider a topic missing from your own plan or a different way of presenting a subject. Read the summary alongside its underlying posts and data coverage.

Choose an angle that fits your brand’s expertise and audience. Then develop the idea in Content Studio with your own product knowledge and brand voice. The content decision remains yours.

About competitor data

How can I refresh competitor data?

Displayed information reflects the data available at the time of collection. With the relevant management permission, you can request an update to profiles and posts. Check when the data was collected to understand how current it is.

How much history can I see?

Available history depends on the data collected for that account. Consider the selected period and existing records when making a comparison.

Does more engagement mean a more successful brand?

It does not establish that on its own. Audiences, post counts, data coverage and business goals may differ. Consider the measures alongside the content and your own goals.
